These 2 boys were our first pet Shelties, it is because of them , we fell in love with the Breed , and have since never been without at least 1 Sheltie in our home.

Laddie (Tri) was brought home from the Humane Society by my sister in 1977. Whiskey was purchased in 1984 from Liz Daoust of Weeacre Kennels.

These dogs would become the foundation for Kneehi Reg'd Shelties. When the time came to start breeding and showing , we of course went back to Liz Daoust in 1991.

We purchased our beloved "Fancy" who I still can't think of without getting tears in my eyes, she was the Dam of the first 2 Champions bred at Kneehi.

"Tara" was my first show/conformation dog, and quickly obtained her C.D at 9 months a high in trial. Her first time in the conformation ring , she won her 6-9 puppy class, and I was hooked.

"Jordie" owned by my sister, was the first dog I finished , and as they say learned the ropes, this poor little naked puppy was being taken to the shows by a novice , he was such fun to show. Thinking back , I wish I had of taken Liz's advice and waited until he was more mature , he grew into a beautiful adult male.

One of the reasons I love Shelties

Our first Sheltie "Laddie"

He came to us in 1977, the Vet thought he was around 2-3 years old - February 14, 1987

I find it hard to believe that we have owned at least one Sheltie for almost 35 years. Over the past 20 years I have met some of my best and lifelong friends along the way!
